Okay…We’ve done our part…Now get your lederhosen on and get it on!

Breaking Bad Ends – Unless you’ve been living under a rock (and even if you have), you’ve got to know that AMC’s epic morality play Breaking Bad ends its five-season run on Sunday. And as with the culmination of HBO’s The Sopranos, a nation will be collectively glued to their flat screens. So it’s time to bid good luck and good-bye to Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, and everyone that made this series so brilliant and riveting. Should we hope for a little redemption? Probably best not to. But however things play out, it’s still hard to say good-bye to Breaking Bad – a truly great American drama that was never afraid of the dark.

Brew Review (Minneapolis, MN) – One of the Midwest’s most popular craft beer events, the 13th annual Autumn Brew Review, will be taking place this Saturday, the 28th at the city’s historic Grain Belt Brewery complex in Northeast Minneapolis. Brewers from all across the nation will be on-site for the largest annual celebration of craft beer in Minnesota. This nonprofit outdoor festival, produced by and benefiting the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, will feature unlimited beer, a commemorative tasting glass, live music, tasty food vendors on-site, beer educational sessions & tours, random shenanigans, and a good time to be had by all at this beautiful historic venue on the banks of the mighty Mississippi. , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – September 27, 2013On The Big Screen – They’ve been hyping Ron Howard’s new racing flick Rush for weeks now so we have to believe that its producers think they may have a hit here. Howard’s newest tells the story of the 1970s Formula 1 champion, Niki Lauda (Chris Hemsworth) and his obsessive rivalry with fellow racer James Hunt (Daniel Brühl). Olivia Wilde also stars in this period racing drama and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Our Awesome Weekend Beer Pick

Widmer Brothers Brewing has just introduced a new limited-release beer as part of the brewery’s fall lineup and it sounds awesome! Widmer Brothers Downward Spiral is an imperial version of their Hopside Down IPL aged on new oak spiral. This is an aggressively hopped beer that was brewed using Cascade hops and cold fermented with Widmer Brothers’ lager yeast.
