March  is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of lagers you’re gonna want to have around.

Get Wild (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing has a new addition to its year-round lineup that we are “wild” about. Crafted using Alaska’s frigid temperatures for its unique cold fermentation process, Alaskan WILDNESS is a 5% ABV Golden Ale that was made in the cold, for the people that live there.

“WILDNESS is for those who want a taste of adventure,” said Maxwell Rule, Chief Operating Officer of Alaskan Brewing Company. “This beer is an exciting new release, unlike any other for our brewery, giving seasoned Alaskan Brewing fans and beer lovers across the country a taste of the adventurous lifestyle of the Last Frontier.”

A Bold Cold (Chicago, IL) –  Revolution Brewing, the Illinois brewer known for award-winning IPAs, seasonal brews, and barrel-aged beers, has a new addition to its 2024 roster that has heads turning.

Created using Midwest two-row barley, Mexican lager yeast, and a touch of German hops alongside pure Great Lakes water, Revolution Cold Time is a 4.8% ABV Premium lager that’s brewed low & slow, then mellowed in the brewery’s tanks for more than four weeks.

“Lager beer has such a rich history in the Midwest, and we see craft drinkers turning to lagers much more lately.” Revolution’s Josh Deth said. “Cold Time lives at the intersection of classic and modern. We are applying our craft brewing skills and technique to the most well-known style in the world and delivering a beer that moves the conversation forward while acknowledging the past.”

POGressive (Portland, OR) –  Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery has just introduced a new seasonal sour  inspired by the beloved juice that came out of Hawaii. POG is an acronym for the three ingredients found in that drink passion fruit juice, orange juice, and guava juice.

Crafted with a bright mix  tropical passionfruit, orange and guava juices and he juicy, pineapple notes of El Dorado hops, Hopworks POG Tropical Sour is a 5.6% ABV seasonal that’s designed to bring a spot of sunlight to a Pacific Northwest winter.

, New Beer Alert: Cold Lagers And Tropical Sours“We have a lot of fun with our fruited sour rotation, and the classic POG flavors combined into a showstopper of an ale,” said Ryan Pappe, Director of Brewing Operations at Hopworks Brewery. “It’s fun, fruity and refreshing, and if you close your eyes, you just might feel the warm sand and hear the gentle whoosh of palm trees blowing in the island breeze. Or not—but either way, it’s a great sour!”
