, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForFirestone Walker Gets Its Merkin On! (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker’s beloved barrel-aged oatmeal stout is set to make a curtain call on September 15.The 2014 Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin is a blend chosen from five separate batches brewed and barreled at different times, with an average of one year spent in the barrel. “We let our hair down with the 2014 Velvet Merkin and changed up the barrel mix a bit compared to previous vintages,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “Velvet Merkin has always had this signature milk chocolate character, but now the vanilla notes are more pronounced as well. We’re pretty stoked on this vintage.” A total of 3,500 cases were produced this year and it’s rolling out in 22 oz. bombers now – so you know what to do.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForSeasons Change (Dover, DE) – The Fordham Brewing Company thinks there’s a change in the weather and they’ve brewed up something special for it. Fordham Spiced Harvest Ale is their newest fall seasonal – a 6.6% ABV spice-happy pumpkin ale – and it’s available on draft and in bottles now.

Venn What? (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi is one of our favorite breweries and they have a new Prismatic Lager Series beer coming out soon that we’re excited about. Ninkasi Venn is a 5.5% ABV Dortmund-style lager brewed to provide an easy-drinking option for the crisper months ahead. You can look for it in early September on draft as well as in bottles.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForBrewhouse Rarities Hit List Released (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog’s vivacious media goddess, Erin Weston, just hit us up with a list of all the Brewhouse Rarities Series limited-edition beers that they’ll be brewing in the coming year and we’re beyond excited to try them all. Next year’s new titles include: Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout, Earl Grey Black WheatSriracha Pale AleMaibockJuniper White IPAIndia Pale LagerSpiced Pear Ale, and Smoked Belgian Stout.

Zipline Gets Unapologetically Nutty (Lincoln, NE) – Nebraska-based Zipline Brewing will soon be releasing something they’ve never done before at back-to-back parties this Friday and Saturday. Zipline Nut Brown is their newest fall seasonal, a malt-forward English-style Brown ale, rich with hazelnut and caramel tones.
