, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForDragon’s Fire (Cooperstown, NY) – We recently received the third beer in the Game of Thrones series that was sent our way by the fine folks at Brewery Ommegang and the HBO crew and we’re pretty psyched about it. A homage to House Targaryen, Princess Daenerys, and her dragons, Fire and Blood is a spicy, 6.8% ABV Red Ale that’s subtly hopped  and brewed with ancho chiles. Rolling out nationally on March 31, Brewery Ommegang Fire and Blood Red Ale will be available with three collectable labels highlighting each of the Khaleesi’s protective dragons: Drogon, Rhaegel, and Viserion. The fourth season of HBO’s epic adult fantasy Game of Thrones returns on April 6, and you probably shouldn’t miss that either.

Cherry Blossom Time (Dover, DE) – It’s almost cherry blossom time in the Nation’s Capital and Dominion Brewing is releasing something special to coincide with the Mid-Atlantic celebrations. Springtime pink and effervescent, Dominion Cherry Blossom Lager is conditioned on a bed of 300 pounds of Michigan cherries for 48 hours prior to packaging and it’s rolling out now in six-packs and on draft.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForRoad Trip! (Atlanta, GA) – It’s been a brutal winter, but spring is coming. And there’s no surer sign of the seasons changing than SweetWater Brewing’s newest release. Part of the brewery’s Catch & Release seasonal lineup, SweetWater Road Trip is a fiery pilsner brewed with Vienna and pilsner malts along with Sterling and US Golding hops, ringing in at 5.2% ABV. Unlike most pilsners, Road Trip is fermented at warmer ale temperatures, giving it a fuller flavor. SweetWater Road Trip is on draft and at retail now, so you know what to do!

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForBringing Down The Farmhouse (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing Company is going back to the farm with their newest Proprietor’s Reserve release that also happens to be their first-ever bottled Saison. Rootsy and rustic, Firestone Walker Opal is a 7% ABV, dry-hoppedSaison that merges Belgian tradition with West Coast style.Starting this month, Opal will be available in 22 oz. bottles in select markets across the United States.

Red RooStarr Returns (Charlottesville, VA) – Starr Hill Brewery is creating some serious buzz this month with the return of a fan favorite from last year. Starr Hill Little Red RooStarr Coffee Cream Stout is a full-bodied, 5.8% ABV Milk Stout brewed with a special blend of coffee from Red Rooster Coffee Roasters in Floyd, Virginia. This beer first debuted in March 2013 as a part of Starr Hill’s All Access limited release lineup. Starr Hill Founder and Master Brewer Mark Thompson and Red Rooster Coffee Roaster owner Haden Polseno-Hensley saw synergy between their companies, and a stout was born. Little Red RooStarr is only available for a limited time now through April in 22 oz. bombers and kegs. We were lucky to try some on draft last night at a Starr Hill bash at Gypsy Sally’s, and believe us when we say this is a coffee stout you cannot miss!
