In October 2011, Smog City Brewing Co. began brewing and distributing beer out of Tustin Brewing Co. (TBC). By utilizing TBC's excess fermentation capacity, we established Smog City as a beer of choice in various restaurants and bars in Los Angeles County. We worked to create a presence in the local craft brewing community and were brewing around 300 barrels a year out of the TBC's facility.By 2012, we'd grown faster than ever expected. After the purchase of full-scale brewing equipment, we formalized the plans for our new brewery and taproom space in Torrance, CA, and received final approvals in 2013. We've now begun brewing, and our Taproom is now open. Stop in and see us for a taste of our beer and a tour of our new brewery!
