With Thanksgiving now behind us, the winter holiday season is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a festive roster of new beers you’re gonna want to have around.
Cross-Continental Red Head (Milton, DE) – With more than 225 years of collective brewing experience, Delaware’s Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Belgium’s Brouwerji Rodenbach have joined forces and released something special that started with Rodenbach’s world-renowned Grand Cru, a Flemish red-brown ale aged in oak casks, that made the overseas trek from Belgium to Delaware via tanker ship.
After its cross-Atlantic journey, Rodenbach’s Grand Cru was blended with a Dogfish Head Red Ale infused with sumac and sweet orange peel. Definitely a beer wort chasing down, Dogfish Head Crimson Cru is a 7.1% ABV limited release with rich malty flavors of stewed fruits, plum, cherry, dried citrus and toffee.
“It was awesome to work with the folks at Rodenbach to create a deliciously complex, multi-continental brew. “We worked side-by-side with Rodenbach Brewmaster, Rudi Ghequire, on every component of this collaboration. I’m really proud of the end result and feel that Dogfish Crimson Cru is a liquid love letter we collectively floated across the Atlantic Ocean and back.”
Darkness Done Right (Toronta, Ca) – With more craft breweries than ever before, brewing serious non-alcoholic beer, ACB is expanding our coverage to include new NA beers that matter. And Partake Brewing has a new small-batch seasonal that totally matters.
Named using the German phrase for “dark lager,” Partake Dunkel is a traditional Bavarian style beer reminiscent of a stout in its color, but with a mouthfeel more similar to a lager. Munich hops are used to brighten the beer’s rich malty flavor, which is offset by hoppy bitterness at the finish.
“Partake continues to deliver innovative non-alcoholic beers in unique styles,” Evan Cohen, CCO and President of Partake Brewing said. “Our Dunkel delivers a 30-calorie flavorful, yet sessionable punch.”
Malt Ball (Fort Collins, CO) – There’s plenty to celebrate when fall arrives in Colorado. The warm days grow shorter, the cool shadows grow longer, and the aspens put on their golden, grand finale. You’re going to need the right beer for that and Odell Brewing has you covered.
Brewed with biscuity sweet Munich malts and spicy, herbal noble hops, Odell Oktoberfest is a 6.1% ABV Märzen Style Lager that’s more than perfect as the weather begins to cool.
