Summer’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing things with sensational new beers you’re gonna want to have around as things heat up.
Haze Daze (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has released something interesting, a beer that combines the clean, crisp bitterness of a West Coast IPA with the softness of a hazy India Pale Ale. Envisioned as a companion to the brewery’s popular Perpetual IPA, Tröegs Perpetual Haze is a 7.5% ABV Hazy India Pale Ale with a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel thanks to London 3 yeast and a grain bill featuring a blend of malted barley and raw wheat.
“We took the DNA of Perpetual IPA and made some slight changes to the malt,” explains Tröegs brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “The big differences are in the timing of the hops and a change in the yeast. Front and center are Citra and Cashmere, a hop combination that coaxes juicy notes of orange, passionfruit, and nectarine.”

Mango Madness (Croydon, PA) – Neshaminy Creek Brewing, an award-winning craft brewery and taproom located just north of Philadelphia, has introduced a new line of beers inspired by another Bucks County legend, Rita’s Italian Ice & Custard. And the first beer is a tribute to Rita’s most popular flavor…mango.
Available on April 15 at all three Neshaminy Creek locations and sold in 12oz. can 6-packs and on draft throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware, Rita’s Fruit Brews Mango is 5% ABV Blonde Ale w/Mango that will transport you back to waiting under Rita’s signature candy-striped awning for an icy sweet treat
Brewing A Better World (Boonville, CA) -Established 35 years ago, surrounded by the towering redwoods that dominate Mendocino County’s coastal ecosystem, Anderson Valley Brewing is one of California’s longest-running independent breweries and a leader in sustainable and environmentally-friendly brewing.
And now they’ve partnered with Surfrider Foundation on a brand new beer that the brewery describes as “a delicious way to safeguard the world’s ocean, waves and beaches.” Light-bodied, yet full-flavored, Anderson Valley Coastal Ale is a 4.5% ABV refresher with 5% of its profits helping to support Surfrider’s mission.
