February is just flying by and American brewers are weathering winter with a new roster of beers that you’re gonna want to have around.
Dancing In The Dark (Downers Grove, IL) – Alter Brewing is facing down a brutal Midwest winter with its first seasonal of 2025. Crafted with Vienna, Pilsner, Carafa Roasted malts as well as Tettnanger and Perle hops, Alter Midnight Mariachi is a bold, crisp, and refreshing 5% ABV Dark Mexican-Style Lager with a light roastiness, subtle touches of spice, and a hint of corn from the flaked maize.
“Utilizing our Mexican-style lager Alterado as a tried and true foundation, our brew team added carafa roasted malt to the mash for a a slightly roasty character,” said Marketing and Brand Manager, Adam Hooczko. “The result is subtle union of light and dark, simplicity and complexity. It’s the perfect beer for lager drinkers that want just a little bit more during these chilly months.”
