Summer is peaking and American craft brewers are addressing the season with intriguing new late summer offerings you’re gonna want to have around.
Buzz-Free And Brilliant (Dublin) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way’s since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And now Guinness has introduced its own non-alcoholic take on its classic dry stout and it did not disappoint. Amazingly close stylistically to Guinness Draught in all aspects except buzz, Guinness 0 boasts its beautifully smooth taste, perfectly balanced flavor, unique dark color, topped off with an uber-creamy head.
To create Guinness 0 the St James’s Gate brewers, start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops, and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character. The brewers then blend and balance the flavors to ensure the distinctive flavor profile and taste characteristics of Guinness.

Witches Brew (Ipswich, MA) – True North Ale Company is looking to fall with the return of something special. Bursting with Citra, Vic Secret, and Strata hops True North Season of the Witch is a 5.9% ABV Hazy IPA with big passion fruit, mango, pineapple, and melon notes, a soft mouthfeel and full body.
“We brewed Season of the Witch exclusively for our fans in Salem, Massachusetts in 2019. Each succeeding year, its popularity exploded, said Jake Rogers, Founder & Chief of Brewery Operations at True North Ales. “Fall seasonals are typically thought of as just pumpkin and spice beers, but this one stands apart from the pack. It has shown to be very appealing to beer drinkers across the board.”
Withstanding The Test Of Time (Waitsfield, VT) – Not many craft beers, that have been brewed for more than decade continue to command the kind of enthusiasm that they once did. But Lawson’s Finest Liquids has a cornerstone IPA that has stood the test of time and for good reason.
A beer that is actually brewed by Lawson’s Finest Liquids at Two Roads Brewing (another fine brewery) in Stratford, CT, Lawson’s Sip of Sunshine is an 8% ABV India Pale Ale packed with juicy tropical fruit notes, bright floral aromas and layers upon layers of hop flavor.
