Summer will soon be just a memory and American craft brewers are addressing things with intriguing new beers you’re gonna want to have around as the weather cools.
The Opposite Of A Light Lager (Croydon & Bristol, PA) – Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company is an award-winning craft brewery and taproom located just north of Philadelphia in Bucks County. And they’ve just released something special that they did with Second Sin Brewing that was born of friendship and love of music.
Available at Second Sin and Neshaminy Creek’s Croydon and Dublin taprooms with limited cases and draft, Without Light is a 5.2% ABV Czech Dark Lager, brewed with floor-malted Bohemian barley that has notes of dark bread, light chocolate, and a pleasant noble spiciness from mounds of Saaz hops.
Blondes Have More Fun (Winston-Salem, NC) – Winston-Salem’s Foothills Brewing is returning one its most iconic beers EVER, a beer that basically introduced craft beer to North Carolina back in 1997.Originally created in Mooresville, NC in by the Carolina Beer & Beverage Company, Carolina Blonde is an uber-smooth 4.3% ABV refresher that was acquired by Foothill Brewing in 2011 and is now being relaunched as part of the brewery’s core portfolio.
“Blonde ales have a lot going for them” says Bill Manley, Sales & Marketing Director at Foothills Brewing. “They are light, crisp, and easy to drink, but still have a lot of flavor. They hit a sweet spot that appeals to light beer fans, and craft drinkers alike. It was one of the first craft beers I ever tasted, and I remember it well. It’s exciting to be able to breathe new life into a North Carolina classic.”
Brilliantly Balanced And Buzz-Free (Normal, IL) – With more craft breweries than ever before, brewing serious non-alcoholic beer, ACB has expanded its coverage to include new NA beers that matter. And Big Drop Brewing, a UK headquartered non-alcoholic brewery that also contact brews its beers for the US at the Destihl Brewery in Illinois, matters, especially this beer.
Brewed to pair perfectly with a fresh slice of lime, Big Drop Coba Maya is buzz-free take on the classic Mexican lager with a balanced malt punch that gives way to a crisp, clean finish.
