Sheetz, a legendary mid-Atlantic gas/convenience store chain, has released its second bigtime collaboration with Philadelphia, PA’s Evil Genius Beer Co.
Here’s the deal…
Established in 1952 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sheetz is one of America’s fastest-growing family-owned and operated convenience store chains with more than 20,000 employees. The company which operates more than 600 store locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina has evolved into much more than gas stations that sell snacks into outlets with award-winning foods and now their own limited release beers.
Last November Sheetz released a special holiday beer that they did with the now Anheuser-Busch-owned Wicked Weed Brewing, an Asheville, North Carolina-based brewery renowned for its Sour Ales.
In May 2021 Sheetz partnered with another Anheuser-Busch property, Goose Island Beer, on a special edition Milkshake IPA suggesting that maybe Sheetz had decided to work with the world’s largest brewer long-term, but its latest collaboration with Evil Genius proves that wrong.
Exclusively available at 58 Pennsylvania Sheetz stores while supplies last, Project Vanilla Shteam Machine is a 5% ABV Cream Ale that was brewed with Sheetz’s vanilla cappuccino.
This new brew marks Sheetz’s second collaboration with Evil Genius following Project Brewberry Muffinz, a blueberry craft beer that was released in summer 2019.
“We are proud to be partnering with Sheetz for our second craft beer collaboration,” said Luke Bowen, owner at Evil Genius. “Sheetz is an amazing family run and independent business that cares and is supportive of other local companies and breweries in the areas they reside in.”
Project Vanilla Shteam Machine is available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans for $7.99. Each participating store is carrying a very limited supply, and the beer will not be restocked once it sells out.
“We are excited to partner once again with Evil Genius Beer Co.,” said Ryan Sheetz, vice president of marketing and brand at Sheetz. “Our first craft beer collaboration, Project Brewberry Muffinz, sold out in just five days.”
