For the last eighteen years, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) has been asking its members, who clearly know their beer, to vote for their favorite commercial beers.
And Zymurgy, (the official journal of the AHA), has announced the results which will be published in the Nov/Dec issue– And just in case you don’t get the mag, we’ve got the highlights for you.
Bell’s Two Hearted Ale Takes #1 For the Third Consecutive Year
For nearly a decade Russian River’s legendary Pliny the Elder has owned the prized #1 slot. But in 2017 Pliny came in at number #2 behind Bell’s Two Hearted Ale and it has retained the #1 position for the fourth year in a row!
And Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s Brewery, was understandably ecstatic about it….
“Being honored with this again, is beyond words. With the year we’ve all had, this is a huge win we can all celebrate. To my staff, to our partners, to the homebrewers, to everyone who celebrates this beer; thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
And now this year’s best… ( * indicates a small and independent craft brewer and a T indicates a tie)
