This weekend’s collection of winter to spring offerings are hoppy, hazy, and March weather-ready!
Avery Paws And Claws (Boulder, CO) – Avery Brewing’s IPA roots run deep. Ever since the brewery took home its first GABF gold medal for its Avery IPA, Avery’s brewers have explored hop varietals and dosing techniques to create India Pale Ales that defy categorization. And their newest summer limited release is a perfect example. Crafted to meld the “zip of west coast hops with the more tropical and melon notes of hazy IPAs,” Avery Paws & Claws IPA is a 7.5% ABV India Pale Ale that doesn’t pick sides.
Altered Reality (Downers Grove, IL) – The Alter Brewing Company has beefed up its array of seasonal beers with the canned release of fan favorite that was one of the fastest selling draft beers they’ve ever produced. The first of four canned seasonal releases planned for this year, Alter Heavy Squeeze is a 5.5% ABV Lemon Wheat Ale that is primed for spring.
Celebrating Spring Northern California Style (Boonville, CA) – Anderson Valley Brewing has a new release that’s tart and unique…And even better, it’s only 125 calories. Brewed using a traditional kettle souring method, as with the brewery’s award-winning Gose Series, Anderson Valley Tropical Hazy Sour Ale is a 4.3% ABV citrusy sour that pairs brilliantly with the changing season.
Summer Ready (Baltimore, ND) – It’s only March but it feels like summer already in many parts of the country. And maybe that’s why Heavy Seas Beer will soon be debuting the 2020 variation of a popular summer seasonal. Perfect for trips to the park, hiking or hitting the beach, Heavy Seas Smooth Sail is a 4.5% ABV Wheat Ale brewed with dried orange and lemon peel.
Alaskan Gets Hazy Not Lazy (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing has an interesting new limited release hitting retail in March. Brewed with a deft menu of Mosaic, Citra and Sultana hops, Alaskan Hazy Bay Juicy IPA is a 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale with big juicy notes and ultra-soft mouthfeel.
