The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s some more of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were drinking your way through the weekend.
Indeed Brewing Offers Free Beer For Recycled 6-Pack Handles (Minneapolis, MN) – Plastic six-pack rings and beer handles are a nightmare. They trash oceans, can ensnare sea life and will outlast us all…And in effort to counter the ecological waste associated with a particular type of beer handles, Indeed Brewing is accepting PakTech handles returns in exchange for discounts or free beer.
Indeed Brewing explained to BringMeTheNews “that because PakTech handles are made from rigid plastic, they’re not accepted at most local recycling facilities, even though they’re made with recycled materials.”
One or more PakTech 6-pack toppers will get you $2 off any one beer. Four or more will get you a free beer. And Indeed isn’t the only Twin Cities brewery partaking in the program. Utepils Brewing, 56 Brewing and Modist Brewing also accept handles for recycling.

Cruzcampo is considered to be the biggest beer producer in Spain. Founded in 1904, the brewery takes its name from La Cruz del Campo (The Cross of the Field), which still stands today next to its brewery in Seville.
Now owned by Heineken, Cruzcampo can be found anywhere in Spain, a country that loves its gazpacho (a cold tomato soup made of raw, blended vegetables) as much as they love their beer.
To celebrate one of Spain’s most beloved dishes, the Master Brewers at Cruzcampo’s La Fábrica have released Cruzcampacho a reddish 4.8 % ABV beer/gazpacho hybrid with tomato, pepper and cucumber flavors.
