2023 is ON and American craft brewers are addressing the new year with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.
A Cult Classic Returns (Hershey, PA) – Just in time to fight the winter doldrums and post-holiday blues, Tröegs is returning a beer that like Troegenator and Mad Elf, helped put the Pennsylvania brewery on the map. And when it debuted back in 2004, there was absolutely nothing else like it.
Abundantly hopped with “fresh-off-the-bine” Nugget hops from the brewery’s annual hop curation trek to Yakima, WA, Tröegs Nugget Nectar is a 7.5% ABV Imperial Amber Ale with hints of ripe mango and dreamsicle that is balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.
Seasonal Brewing (Portland, OR) – On January 11 Ecliptic Brewing released the brewery’s first Seasonal Series beer of the new year and it’s definitely worth your time. Brewed with Brewed with Cashmere and Citra hops as well a real grapefruit, Ecliptic Parsec Grapefruit is a 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale with big stone fruit and citrus notes.
“Sometimes we like to mix up the offerings in our Seasonal Series to keep it fresh, said Ecliptic Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. “We think a fruited hazy will do well in this lineup.”
Sticky Stuff (Charlotte, NC) – Sycamore Brewing has returned a festive limited release that offers a welcome respite from all the malty holiday beers you’ve been drinking over the holidays. Now available in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia and Kentucky, Sycamore Sticky Crystals is a 7.04% ABV Hazy IPA with bright grapefruit, passion fruit, mango and tangerine notes low bitterness and well-rounded mouthfeel.
