2025 is ON and American craft brewers are celebrating January with a new roster of beers that you’re gonna want to have around.

Trouble Times Two (Hershey, PA) – Just in time to fight the winter doldrums and post-holiday blues, Tröegs Independent Brewing is releasing a terrific spin on Nugget Nectar, its iconic 7.5% ABV Amber Ale. An uber-limited release built around one of Nugget Nectar’s key ingredients: Simcoe hops, Tröegs Double Nugget Nectar is a 9.5% ABV Imperial Amber Ale with complex notes of apricot, peach rings and juicy orchard fruit.

“My favorite meeting is with our Scratch Beer creative team,” said brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “That’s where we came up with the concept of Double Nugget. Bringing this beer to life proved to be a fun balancing act. Built around Simcoe hops, one of Nugget Nectar’s key ingredients, Double Nugget exhibits bold notes of apricot, peach rings and bright citrus.”

AleSmith Celebrates Its 30th  (San Diego, CA) – The award-winning AleSmith Brewing has a new addition to their lineup that’s hitting retail shelves and taps very soon in SoCal, Eureka, Humboldt County, Arizona, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

Brewed to celebrate with the brewery’s 30th Anniversary, AleSmith Double IPA is a massive 8% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with fresh, juicy notes of orange, grapefruit, tangerine, melon, strawberry, and currants, offset by a light malt profile.

Bold & Buzz-Free (Chico, CA) – Many beer fans are occasionally choosing to forgo buzz for taste on occasion. And Sierra Nevada has a delicious option that suits both of those demands. Crafted using traditional brewing methods, not alcohol removal, to create full craft flavor below the 0.5% ABV non-alcoholic threshold, Sierra Nevada Trail Pass IPA is a non-alcoholic take on the nation’s most popular beer style, the Hazy India Pale Ale.

“It meets all of our criteria for what we would consider a craft IPA,” said James Conery, Innovation Brewmaster at Sierra Nevada, “not necessarily even a craft non-alcoholic IPA, but a craft IPA.”
