Not surprisingly global brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev brands dominate this Top 10 which includes a Hard Seltzer.
Here’s the deal….
“IRI, a Chicago-based market research firm, has collected sales data on dozens of beer brands to demonstrate the influence of the world’s biggest brewing companies,” according to the Drinks Business.
And in spite of the impact of craft brewers on the beer biz, big brewers continue to rule, with the exception of White Claw hard seltzer which is hotter than ever (and not beer as far as we’re concerned).
AB InBev is sitting pretty with four of Americas best-selling beer brands but Molson Coors and Constellation beers are also in play.

IRI’s data, which captured retail sales numbers across the US in the 52 weeks to August 9, 2020, also shows the stratospheric growth of the hard seltzer market, with sales of White Claw rising by close to 250% over the past year.
And the fact that the White Claw brand family is now more valuable than Busch and Heineken, and sold almost twice as many cases of seltzer in the US than Heineken has got to be a concern for American brewers, both Big Beer and craft.
