Netflix just released El Camino, a sequel to the award-winning series, and Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris is riding that crest with a beer he championed which sold out at an Albuquerque Costco in just three hours according to KOB4.

Schraderbräu Beer made its first appearance in season two of Breaking Bad as DEA agent Hank Schrader’s homebrew. Last March Norris announced that his company, Rust Belt Brewing, had signed a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to produce the German lager and make it available to fans in the real world. And that beer was greeted by hundreds of fans of the show who lined up to have the beer signed by Norris along with actor Steven Quezada who played his partner in the popular series.

Dean Norris’ Schraderbräu Beer, which debuted in Albuquerque ahead of a nationwide rollout, is currently produced at Figueroa Mountain Brewing, an award winning, family-owned and operated brewery in Buellton, California, that specializes in German style Lagers.

Words To Drink By (Los Angeles, CA) – “We took a lot of time and effort to create a beer (the research was quite enjoyable!), that is worthy of the show and its incredible fans.” Dean Norris, aka Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad

NJ Gov Murphy a Bud guy

Bud-Loving NJ Governor Hosts Private Craft Beer Event (Princeton, NJ) – NJ Gov. Phil Murphy hosted an invite only craft beer event at his mansion over the weekend with 20 NJ Craft breweries attending.

The all-craft beer event did receive a bit of snark from publications like NJ.com due to the fact that the Governor had admitted to being a Budweiser guy at a Facebook Live town hall last fall. “I’m old-school, I’m having a Bud,” Murphy said before adding that there “ought to be room” for both big and small breweries to flourish in the state.
