For the everyday Joe or craft beer tourist, summertime in Portland is all about big festivals, sporting anywhere from 80 to 150 beers from all over the country or even around the globe. The rest of the year, the craft community ’round these parts have nonstop mini-fests devoted to the unique creations constantly flowing from 73 metro area brewers, each one featuring a different style: sours, smoked beers, barleywines, organics, Cascadian Dark Ales, or even fruit beers.
It seems like there’s another off-the-wall specialty to check out each weekend, easily making someone at the ready to beat back the beast that is alcoholism. This weekend? It’s all about the Farmhouse and Wild Ale Festival Saturday and Sunday at Saravzea Bottle Shop and Pasty Tavern.
With more than 50 beers rotating throughout the two-day extravaganza, the festival list not only gives ample reason to show up, but also to come back for more. Running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, then 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, revelers can purchase their tickets in advance for $25 online or at the door (cash only) and receive 10 drink tickets plus a commemorate glass. Just check out this list and put on yer drinkin’ hat…
