, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – October 3, 2014Enjoy A Mile High Weekend At The GABF (Denver, CO) – And so it begins! The Great American Beer Festival kicked off last night and if you’re in the “Mile High City,” for it – you’re in for a blast. The Colorado Convention Center is again  ground zero for this massive event, but all kinds of special craft beer things are happening all over the city.The GABF is not only about sampling quality beer but is also a beer competition. Breweries enter their beers to be judged by the festival’s Professional Judge Panel. Festival attendees can also sip the beer entered in the competition during the tasting sessions.

The American Craft Beer Posse Is in the House! (Denver, CO) The ACB crew are already on site and drinking with abandon. And we’ll be binging you the up-to-the minute “skinny” via the ACB Twitter Feed – so you can stay totally plugged into that for everything that’s happening!

On The Big Screen – After weeks of mediocre at best movie releases, one if this year’s most anticipated films is opening this weekend. Gone Girl is David Fincher’s adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best-seller and the advance buzz on this movie has been huge. Ben Affleck stars a besieged husband who becomes the focus of an intense media circus, when his wife (Rosamund Pike) disappears. Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry round out the cast of a film that has some critics talking Oscar.

Music That Is Louder Than Life (Louisville, KY) – If you’re in the mood to seriously rock this weekend – then we’ve got the play! Described as a “Music, Whiskey & Man Food Festival,” Louder Than Life 2014 is a two-day (Oct 4th-5th) Hard Rock celebration featuring the likes of Judas Priest, Kid Rock, Korn, and Limp Bizket. And for a “whiskey-themed” music festival, the craft beer selection doesn’t suck either.
