, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – October 2, 2015Celebrate With Atlas Brew Works (Washington, DC) – This Saturday, October 3rd from (1 to 5 pm) our friends at Atlas Brew Works will be celebrating their second anniversary!  They’ll be taking over the streets and throwing one hell of a party and if you’re anywhere in the mid-Atlantic you need to be there! Atlas will be pouring their finest and even bringing out some of their secret stash – and Justin Trawick & The Common Good will be taking the stage for an afternoon of great live music. On The Big Screen – Two big movies are opening this weekend and they both look promising. Ridley Scott’s The Martian stars Matt Damon as an astronaut accidently left stranded alone on Mars who’s forced to rely on his raw ingenuity to survive. , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – October 2, 2015Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk revisits the true story of high-wire artist Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his historic walk, back in 1974, between the World Trade Center towers.

Get Fresh Hopped (Yakima, WA) – Washington State will be celebrating the harvest season this Saturday, October 3rd, when the 2015 Fresh Hop Ale Festival returns to “hop city.” This year’s event will feature more than 100 fresh-hop beers from over 40 of the region’s most exciting brewers – so you know it’s going to be an awesome evening. TV Time – Season one of The Walking Dead’s much anticipated companion series, Fear the Walking Dead wraps up on Sunday night. Those of you who follow us regularly, know that were big fans of the original apocalyptic zombie series. And although this spinoff sometimes underwhelms – we remain in for now.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – October 2, 2015Vegan Oktoberfest (Los Angeles, CA) – Vegan Oktoberfest returns to downtown LA this weekend and assuming you’re not in rehab- you need to be there. This two-day celebration (Oct 3rd and 4th) will feature an abundance traditional Oktoberfest food done vegan, live Oompah bands, Bavarian maidens flouncing, and of course, fest bier poured to perfection by a bevy of great breweries. And since all the food and beer is vegan, you can experience a traditional Oktoberfest with a clear conscience even when you’re getting totally buzzed.
