Oktoberfest Richmond-Style
(Richmond. VA) – The 46th annual Richmond Oktoberfest is the largest German / American Oktoberfest festival in Virginia, and this two-evening event (Oct 17th-18th) returns to the Old Dominion Building at Richmond’s International Speedway this weekend. The city expects over 5,000 people in lederhosen to visit this weekend – and for Germanic madness on a grand scale to ensue. And yes, there will be sauerkraut!

On The Big Screen -We’ve two movie picks for you this weekend and they couldn’t be more different. The big film opening this weekend is Fury. It’s a WWII epic that stars Brad Pitt as a hard-boiled Sherman Tank commander, leading a five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines, in the waning days of the war. Out-numbered, out-gunned, and he and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. And if you’re looking for something lighter and less historic, we suggest you check out Justin Simien’s Dear White People. Justin went to film school with ACB’s Assistant Editor, Warren Wills and his comedy/drama won a Special Jury Award at the 2014 Sundance.
