, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 1, 2013The Mother of All Beer Weeks Kicks Off This WeekendSan Diego Beer Week officially begins this weekend with the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival. This year’s festival is taking place downtown at the beautiful Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier and it’s now a two-day event (Nov 1st and 2nd).

Tonight is theVIP Brewer Takeover. This exclusive event will showcase San Diego’s finest rare and specialty beers from local breweries, including offerings brewed just for tonight. All-inclusive tickets include unlimited beer samples coupled with unlimited food samples from local craft-beer friendly restaurants. Tomorrow, the SD Brewers Guild Festival opens to the public from 2-5 PM and will showcase San Diego County’s finest craft breweries. On the Big ScreenEnder’s Game is a popular Science Fiction novel with a huge cult following, and the much-anticipated film version of this classic opens nationally this weekend. Directed by Gavin Hood (The Wolverine), it stars Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin, a gifted child recruited and trained to lead his fellow soldiers into a battle that will determine the future of Earth.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – November 1, 2013It Is On In New England (Portland, ME) -The 20th annual Maine Brewers Festival is being held this weekend and you don’t want to miss it. The highly anticipated celebration of the local Maine craft beer community begins on Saturday, November 2nd and will once again take place at the Portland Expo. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each featuring some of the season’s best beers from Maine brewers along with live music, food, and prizes. Music/Music/Music – New Orleans is currently playing host to this weekend’s best music .The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2013 is three days of electronic and rock music featuring artists the likes of Paramore, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, and The Cure.
