DRINKING BEER IN THE LAST FRONTIER(Dalton City, AK) -With Memorial Day being the “un-official” start of summer and the fact that it’s a long holiday weekend -there are even more craft beer festivals than usual (51 to be exact). Still the Great Alaska Craft Beer and Home Brew Festival which is taking place tomorrow (May 23rd) is one of the best. There will be live music, great food and more brilliant craft beer than any reasonable individual can 
consume, so it’s perfect for you and you know it. Tickets might be gone, so you may have to hit the scalpers. But this one’s worth it – trust us.
ON THE BIG SCREEN – It’s back! The reboot of a 1982 horror classic that went on to become one of the highest-grossing movies of this genre ever, debuts this weekend and clearly has big shoes to fill. Poltergeist stars Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt as parents, once again, fighting desperately to rescue their daughter when their suburban home is besieged by demonic spirits.
BREWS & BREWS (Albuquerque, NM) – We try to highlight a music event when we can in weekend picks – and we always showcase worthy beer festivals – so it’s cool when they both come together. The 2015 Albuquerque Blues and Brews returns to the Sandia Resort and Casino this Sunday (May 24rd) for an afternoon of serious beer and music. This year’s event will feature over 50 of the region’s most dynamic craft breweries, all kinds of artisan food offerings and non-stop blues. BINGE-WORTHY TV – Netflix released a brand new Marvel superhero hero offering and since they’ve made all 13 episodes available at once you’ll only have to leave your house if you run out of beer. Daredevil stars Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) as Matt Murdock, the victim of a childhood accident that blinded him yet gave him extrasensory powers. But it’s 
Vincent D’Onofrio who does a great job as the villainous crime lord, Walter Fisk, who steals the show.
