SAVOR This! (Washington, DC) – Don’t be pissed at us. We know we’ve been talking up SAVOR for days now – and we understand that this thing sold out months ago. But to not mention a major craft beer event like this is also not fair to our readers…and besides there are SAVOR-related happenings (that are open to the public) taking place all over “power city” – and you can find out about all of them HERE.

On The Big Screen – At a time when big screen actors are transitioning to serious long-form TV, you have a HBO television series (based on actor Mark Wahlberg’s career) making the leap to the big screen this weekend. Entourage continues to chronicle the adventures of movie star Vincent Chase, together with his boys Eric, Turtle, and Johnny. Jeremy Piven also returns as Ari Gold, their super-agent turned studio-head who’s overseeing a risky project that will serve as Vince’s directorial debut.

One is a serial killer played brilliantly by Jamie Dornan who stalks his victims in and around Belfast. The other is a cold yet talented Detective Superintendent played by Gillian Anderson, who is brought in to catch him.

OUR WEEKEND BEER PICK

With Memorial Day well behind us, summer is on and Ninkasi has a perfect beer for it. Ninkasi Wünderbier is a tribute to Cologne (Köln) – a 4.4% ABV golden-colored German-Style Kölsch that is summer savvy.
