From the nation’s coolest beer festivals to movies, music, and cutting-edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time. We’ve also a Weekend Beer Pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking.

Catch A Classic in the Nation’s Capital (Washington, DC) – The crew at Red Frog knows how to throw an event, that’s for sure. They put on last weekend’s Firefly Festival over in Dover, Delaware, and the American Beer Classic at Soldier Field in Chicago – and this weekend, they’re bringing their American Beer Classic to DC as well. Billed as “Great Beer on Iconic Fields,” the DC festival (which is rolling into the capital on July 12th) will be taking place at the city’s historic RFK Stadium and promises to be a total blast.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – July 11, 2014On The Big Screen – One of this summer’s most anticipated new movies is opening this weekend and the buzz on this one is huge! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the sequel to 2011’s deservedly successful Rise of the Planet of the Apes and if it’s half as good as that film was, we’re all in for a good time. Andy Serkis once again reprises his role as Caesar, a brilliant ape destined to lead a growing nation of genetically evolved apes, threatened by a band of human survivors of a devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.

Craft Beer, Music, and Camping at Seven Sisters (San Luis Obispo, CA) – Billed as “the most fun you’ll have all summer,” Seven Sisters Craft Beer & Music Fest is a three-day celebration of music, art, craft beer, and life in the Central Coast’s visually stunning environment. Seven Sisters will feature an amazing variety of craft breweries from around the West, with many of the brewmasters themselves pouring their specialty beer at Saturday’s beer tasting on July 12 from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. For more info on this musical and experiential beerganza, check out: Seven Sisters CB & MF

TV Time -One of last year’s best new dramas returns to the Showtime network for a second season on Sunday night (10 p.m. ET) and if you’ve not yet started watching it, you’re missing something great. Masters of Sex is based on the true-life tale of ’60s sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson, and does for sex research what Mad Mendid for advertising. Masters features plenty of nudity, and beautifully recreates the era with smarts and humor. British actor Michael Sheen adopts an American accent as the fertility expert, William Masters. But it’s Lizzy Caplan who stars as a former nightclub singer tapped by Sheen to be his assistant who owns this unusual series. Season two promises to be sexier than season one – so fasten your seat belt!
