, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – January 25, 2013The fine folks at Atlanta Beer Festivals will be putting on their 3rdAtlanta Winter Beerfest this weekend and it’s all taking place at the Masquerade this Saturday (1/26). This will be an inside and outdoor event (with tents, heated if necessary), and will feature 100+ beers, ciders, and a small selection of wines. There will be live music on all 3 stages, plus 2 other areas, featuring Go Box, The Acorns, Nelson Brownstone, Angie Goodale, and Robbie Levin, and some additional fun and games. This event has sold out the last 2 years. For more info on what sounds like an awesome event, check out: Atlanta Winter Beerfest

Dumping bad movies in January has long been an industry tradition. Films that have gone so horribly awry as to not deserve to see the light of day usually end up opening around now. That makes January one of our favorite times to pick movies for you…Many of the movies being released around now CAN BE SO BAD THAT THEY’RE ACTUALLY FUN. And judging from the trailers that we’ve seen recently, we think Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters might be one of those! This one has been on the shelf so long that many wondered if it would even make it to DVD. Hansel & Gretel stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arteton as the dynamic duo who’ve survived their storied past and have grown up to become bounty hunters, who track down and dispose of witches all over the world! Hey we just pick ’em here – we don’t vouch for them.

Los Angeles is growing into a real craft beer town and with that comes cooler craft beer events, such as Saturday’s Bock Fest 2013. This year’s Bock Fest will be taking place on Saturday afternoon at Vanguard LA and it promises to be too much fun! Bock fest will feature some of the world’s most unique brewers and more German Bocks and Winter Warmers than you can dream of. There will be music and food but most importantly…THERE WILL BE BEER! And you get to sample it all once you’re there! For more info on this weekend’s event, check out: Bock Fest 2013

The Groove Cruise 2013 is an electronic and dance extravaganza that’s so wild, it can only take place legally in international waters. It departs from Miami tonight for three days of non-stop music and fun and debauchery. Described by the event’s promoters as the World’s Largest Floating Dance Music Festival, the Groove Cruise 2013 will feature 72 hours of non-stop dance music, 40+ artists, 2 islands somewhere, a massive cruise ship and 2300 party animals (like you) who will abandon all common sense in the name of having a good time. Hey it just doesn’t get much more bacchanalian than this. C’mon, you know you want to be there! For more info on this weekend’s cruise, check out: Groove Cruise 2013
