So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – February 28, 2014Drink Strong (Boulder, CO) – The Avery Brewing Company will be hosting the 12th annual Boulder Strong Ale Fest and if you’re not planning on going – it’s time to reevaluate the way you’re living your life. After all, this two-day event (Feb 28th – Mar 1st) will feature a multitude of epic ales – all 8% ABV or higher – from the region’s most brilliant and renowned craft breweries. Each ticket includes 16 pours and a commemorative glass and it benefits a local charity – so why in the world wouldn’t you be there? For more info on what promises to be a Strong event, check out:Boulder Strong Ale Fest. You can thank us later.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – February 28, 2014On The Big Screen – The movies that are opening this weekend exemplify the kind of dreck that studios release in late February – films that you only go to because you’re nursing a severe hangover – which is exactly why we’re bringing them to your attention. This weekend’s movie (which may have stolen its title from a collaboration beer that we brewed last year with Airways – Non- Stop Session IPA) should only be viewed by the seriously hung-over. Non-Stop (they ripped us off – right?) stars Liam Neeson in aging hero mode as an air marshal forced into action on a transatlantic flight when he receives a series of text messages threatening to murder his fellow passengers unless the airline transfers $150 million into an off-shore account.

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – February 28, 2014Philly Craft Beer Festival Returns this Weekend (Philadelphia, PA) – The award-winning Philly Craft Beer Festival, the event Forbes Traveler called one of the “Top 10 Beer Festivals in America,” is returning to the Navy Yard this Saturday, March 1st. And more than 75 craft breweries from across the country and around the globe will be on hand to offer samples of their finest to event attendees at two sessions – a VIP session and a General Session. The VIP Session offers serious beer enthusiasts an extra hour and an opportunity to taste some rare and highly desirable beers that will not be poured during the general session. This event will take place outdoors under tents, rain or shine – so come ready. For the complete rundown of all the breweries that will be attending, check out: 2014 BREWERIES

TV Time – The second season of The Americans returned to the FX network this week and you don’t want to get behind. Set in the 1980s, this Cold War themed television drama  is about Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys), two Soviet KGB spies posing as an American married couple in the suburbs of Washington, DC. And while the story it tells is as thrilling as it is entertaining, at its heart it’s about marriage and family – and the ways we sometimes fail one another. Not to be missed!
