Wish You Were Here (Wellington, New Zealand) – We’ve more International visitors at ACB than ever before and many of them are New Zealand craft beer fans. And we suspect that many of them will be attending Brew NZ Beervana 2014 that’s taking place this weekend at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington. This two-day (August 22nd–23rd) four-session event will feature more than 200 from over 80 New Zealand and Australian breweries. There will even be some international collaboration with Portland, Oregon’s Widmer Brothers, Gigantic, and The Commons Brewery and we think that’s pretty damn cool as well. Werner Park in Papillion is the new ground zero for over 400 beers from more than 80 of the region’s most outstanding craft breweries (including several who have never been seen before in the area.) And New Holland’s Fred Bueltmann is headlining at the festival’s seminar tent – and he’s always a trip- so you don’t want to miss him! -Back in the mid-2000s, movies like Sin City and 300 exposed the world to a darker breed of graphic comic inspired films and created a sub-genre all its own. Ten years later, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For returns to that same urban turf with actors like Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba reprising their roles as two hardened and haunted denizens who cross paths in a cynical and dangerous world.

Rocking It At The River (Chattanooga, Tennessee) American music will once again meld with American craft beer this weekend when the Southern Brewers Festival returns to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Billed as “a festival 20 years in the making’ this year’s two-day celebration (August, 22nd-23rd) will feature popular Americana artist like Gov’t Mule, AJ Ghent and Randall Bramblett & Friends alongside almost 50 of the region’s best breweries. For set times and a complete brewery listing be sure to check out: 2014 Southern Brewers Festival
