So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – August 14, 2015London Calling (UK) – We’ve a growing community of “dangerous hopheads” following our foolishness from the United Kingdom, so we’d be sorely remiss to not mention that the 2015 London Craft Beer Festival is taking place over there this weekend. This year’s four day event (August 13th-16th) is once again being held at Oval Space, an arts venue in East London’s Bethnal Green and will feature over 100 beers from 25 world-class craft breweries. London’s Oval Space is known for hosting some of the UK’s best musical events, so in addition the beer, this year’s festival will also be presenting a brilliant array of musical talent. The London Craft beer Festival is a celebration of great beers, passionate brewers and a true beer city and shouldn’t be missed! For more info on this UK beerganza check out: London Beer Fest

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – August 14, 2015On The Big Screen – Another film version of a television show from the 60s that your parent’s don’t even care about, opens this weekend. Who knows who thought that world needed a remake of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. but we suggest you might do better to check out the N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton.

SoCal Celebration (San Marcos, CA) – Stone is throwing its 19th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival this weekend and there are still plenty of tickets available for Saturday’s (8/15) two sessions. This year’s Invitational will feature 240 beers from over 60 breweries including 46 vintage, special releases and Stone one-offs. There will be 8 unique beers from Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, and Stone’s 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA will be on tap all throughout the grounds. And this year’s festival area includes three levels that you can stagger through and even more shade. For more info on this Saturday’s charity celebration check out:  Stone Anniversary Invitational

TV Time – It appears that the USA Network is staking its own claim on the serious TV market that’s been dominated by industry leaders like AMC, Showtime and HBO with an interesting new cyber-drama. Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a drug addicted and , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – August 14, 2015almost autistic cyber security engineer, recruited by a shadowy group of hackers, who are intent on taking down one of the world’s largest corporations.

OUR WEEKEND BEER PICK

Mission Brewery recently took home two gold medals in this year’s US Open Beer Championship and we’ll be drinking one of their award-winners this weekend. Carrack Imperial Red is 10.2% American Red Ale and we’re pretty psyched to hit it.
