So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

, The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – April 17, 2015Music Mania & Beer at 420 (Atlanta, GA) – There are craft breweries that put on music events. But few are as serious – or as well-orchestrated – as the SweetWater 420 Fest which returns to Centennial Olympic Park this weekend. This year’s three-day event (April 17th-19th) features everyone from Snoop Dogg and 311, to the Thievery Corporation, and Cage The Elephant. The only reason we’re not here is because we’re recovering from the CBC – What’s your excuse?

Coachella Redux (Indio, CA) – The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festivalis one of the hottest musical tickets in the country with more than 160 artists playing six major stages over three days for two consecutive weekends. Last weekend was awesome and this weekend promises to be even be better. The only reason we’re not here is because we’re recovering from the CBC – What’s your excuse?

Craft Beer Stars at Coachella (Inland Empire) – The big news at Coachella this year is that, in addition to showcasing some of the best bands in the world, they’re now serving up serious beer. It used to be that the only variety you could sample on the grounds was the different strains of weed, wafting from the pulsating crowds – but all that’s changed.Coachella’s Craft Beer Barn which debuted last year was such a hit that they doubled its size this time around. This year’s “Barn” features 90 different breweries with 250 different beers. The only reason we’re not here is because we’re recovering from the CBC – What’s your excuse?

On The Big Screen – When the biggest movie opening this weekend involves child murders in Russia, it’s time to reconsider purchasing a Netflix subscription. Directed by Daniel Espinosa who made a name for himself in 2012’s Safe House, Child 44 stars Tom Hardy as a disgraced member of the military police who investigates a series of nasty child murders during the Stalin-era Soviet Union.A disgraced member of the military police investigates a series of nasty child murders during the Stalin-era Soviet Union. The only reason we’re not going is because we’re still recovering from the CBC – And the truth is we’d rather shoot ourselves rather than spending two hungover hours at this morbid glum-fest.
