THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKS

Hey it’s the Weekend… and if you’re like us, you’re ready for some fun. Well good, because we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s coolest beer festivals to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve another weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSBeer Camp Across America Touches Down In Boston This Weekend (Boston, MA) – Sierra Nevada’s second annual Beer Camp Across America is setting up tent stakes in City Hall Plaza this Saturday. Featuring a regional beer collaboration between Trillium Brewing Company, Dogfish Head, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Stoudts Brewing Co and Devils Backbone, this celebration of all things eastern seaboard promises to be more fun than a rousing round of Capture the Flag. For more info check out: Beer Camp Boston

On The Big Screen – This month’s new movie openings run the gamut from ridiculous to embarrassingly stupid, and the parade of misguided film offerings shows no sign of letting up. Maybe Finding Dory, the sequel to an animated hit (Finding Nemo) that came out over 13 years ago, will interest some parents out there – but we’d rather shoot ourselves before spending two hours with Ellen DeGeneres as a talking fish. And while buddy comedy Central Intelligence does star Dwayne Johnson who we’ve warmed up to, it also stars Kevin Hart WHO IS JUST NOT FUNNY! Probably smarter to blow off everything at the Cineplex this weekend and just drink.

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSNoVa Is For Beer Lovers This Weekend (Centreville, VA) – The Northern Virginia Brewfest returns to Bull Run Regional Park this weekend, for two days (June 18th-19th) of serious beer, music, food and fun. Be sure to check out ACB’s Editor Tom Bobak who will be drunkenly helming an IPA Blind Tasting along with industry experts (and ACB fav Tammy Portnoy) at this year’s new BrewEd Tent. Bobak is scheduled to embarrass himself at 2pm this Saturday, but there will be all kinds of interesting discussions going on at the BrewEd Tent all weekend…So check it out while you’re there.

TV Time – They’re both on HBO and they’re both follow the uber-popular Game of Thrones – and if you’ve not yet caught up with Veep or Silicon Valley, you’re missing two of the best American comedies currently on TV. Now in its fifth season, Veep stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer a one-time Vice President who is, at least for now, hysterically the President of the United States. Silicon Valley is a brilliant send-up of America’s competitive technocracy and focuses on six young men who struggling to build a startup company with predictably unpredictable results.

Boulevardia Takes Over KC (Kansas City, Mo) – Boulevard Brewing is returning its three-day (June 17th-19th) urban street festival to historic West Bottoms this weekend, and the city will never be the same. Boulevardia is no everyday experience. It’s a state-, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEKEND PICKSof-the art celebration that combines the best aspects of beer, food and music festivals – and if you’ve never attended one – it’s time to rethink how you’re living your life. For more information and a complete listing of everting that’s going down, be sure to check out: Boulevardia 2016
