Plus we’ve a weekend beer pick for you too because we know you’ll be drinking!

So welcome to our Thanksgiving Weekend Picks…

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER THANKSGIVING WEEKEND PICKSBlack Friday Beer (Chicago, IL) – We can’t think of a better reason to not be at the mall. What Goose Island Beer started in Chicago five years ago, with their beloved Bourbon County Brand 2014 release events, is happening today in nine cities including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Jacksonville, Fla., Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix and San Francisco. This year’s release will feature their barrel-aged flagship –Bourbon County Brand Stout, along with Coffee and Vanilla Rye variations, an aged Barleywine and Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout:  a special “Chicago-only” release that’s brewed with coconut water, Cassia bark and cocoa nib and aged in Rye Whiskey barrels. For more information on the event nearest you check out: Black Friday 2014

On the Big Screen – Everyone’s had one – so it’s no surprise that movies about” horrible bosses” attract huge audiences. The first Horrible Bosses was a worldwide success and made tons of cash. And those reasons alone are the rationale for Horrible Bosses 2 which opened nationally this weekend. Comedic sequels are seldom as good as the films that spawned them (Hangover II anyone?) but were hopeful since the first flick was hilarious.

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER THANKSGIVING WEEKEND PICKSBlack Friday Beer II – Don’t overlook two other Black Friday beer events that sound like a good time. Milwaukee-based Lakefront Brewing will be stepping away from the Black IPA they’ve done for the last two years and releasing a special one-day only Russian Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels on Friday. And up in the Northeast, Allagash Brewing will be debuting their Allagash Midnight Brett Ale in bottles at the brewery this Friday.

A Time Warp in NYC this Thanksgiving Weekend – (Brooklyn, NY) – The world’s leading indoor festival for electric dance music is touching down in the US this weekend (Nov 28th-29th).  Time Warp NYC is an extension of an internationally known brand that’s been touring Europe’s biggest cities for the last 20 years. This is Time Warp’s fir
, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER THANKSGIVING WEEKEND PICKSst visit to North America and expectations for this two-day electric rave are sky high (and we do mean high – if you get our drift). 19 of the world’s best DJ’s will be performing and the lightshow alone is said to be spectacular. Our Weekend Beer Pick

With Thanksgiving behind us, the holiday season is officially on. It’s time to finally start cracking open those “special edition” winter seasonals and Heavy Seas Beer has a good one. The 2014 Heavy Seas Yule Tide, is a 9% ABV Weizen Dopplebock Ale that’s been aged for some time in Rum Barrels – and it’s awesome.
