, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – September 10, 2014What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all of the American craft breweries who have shared their wares with us in the past and those of you who have shipped us beer from time to time. It’s great to be able to sample the brews that we write about and it helps us have a better feel for what’s happening out there.Shaun and Nico from San Francisco’s 21st Amendment Brewery just sent us a collaboration project that they’ve been doing with Elysian Brewing – and we hit it last night. HE SAID, HE SAID represents Elysian’s Dick Cantwell and 21st Amendment’s Shaun O’Sullivan and their very different takes on big Pumpkin beers, and both versions are awesome! One is an 8.2% ABV Baltic-style Porter lager brewed w/pumpkin and spices and the other is an 8.2% ABV Belgian-style Tripel brewed w/pumpkin and spices. These are pumpkin beers like nothing you’ve had before – and definitely worth tracking down.
