, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 13, 2016DC Brau Turning Five On Tax Day (Washington, DC) – And to celebrate this milestone, the brewery is throwing their biggest and best birthday party yet with an all-day music and beer festival at the DC Brau compound this Saturday, April 16th headlined by Austin-based rockers The Sword. At the event, the brewery will also release five extremely limited collaboration beers created with friends at Austin Beerworks,Cigar City, Perennial Artisan Ales, Port City and Sun King and you don’t want to miss that! Deschutes Picks Their New East Coast Home (Bend, OR) – Deschutes recently announced that they’ve chosen scenic Roanoke, Virginia to be home to their new East Coast brewery. Construction on the facility is expected to begin in 2019.

, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 13, 2016ACB And The NBWA On The Town (Washington, DC) – Independent beer distributors, representing all 50 states, arrived in the nation’s capital this week to educate members of Congress about how America’s beer market thrives because of open and independent distribution. The 2016 National Beer Wholesalers Association Legislative Conferenceis always a wonderful opportunity to network with distribution professionals from all over the country and we’d like to thank the NBWA for including us in this week’s conference.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all of the American craft breweries who’ve shipped us beer from time to time. It’s always great to sample the brews that we write about and it helps to give us a better feel for what’s happening out there. And last night we hit up a new Game of Thrones collaboration release from Brewery Ommegang and HBO. Timed to coincide with the epic fantasy’s season six return on April 24th. Ommegang’s Seven Kingdoms is a 6.9% ABV Wheat Ale that’s perfect for binge-watching.
