Enjoy the Fourth of July in the Nation’s Capital (Washington, DC) – American Craft Beer’s home office is based in DC and there’s not a better place on the face of the planet to celebrate Independence Day. From the National Independence Day Parade to the musical extravaganza at the foot of the US Capital, this is the place to be!

, THE AMERICAN CRAFT BEER FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND PICKSHit a Museum and Enjoy Serious Craft Beer While You’re in DC – You should take in some of the Smithsonian’s remarkable family of museums while you’re in town. They’ll be open all weekend and they’re all free! ACB favs include the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, which share the same building in DC’s happening Chinatown neighborhood. And when you’re museum’d out, there are tons of great places that brew a brilliant beer (or three). If you’ve not as yet checked out one of DC’s newest breweries, Bluejacket -well, you need too. Or Right Proper in the city’s up-and-coming Shaw neighborhood – you need to try their beers too!

The Mother of All Fireworks Displays – If you’ve never attended the Fourth of July Fireworks display on the National Mall – what were you thinking? This is a sky-show like no other and it needs to be seen by everyone at least once in their lives. Be forewarned – people come from all over the world to attend this event and the mall will be packed. So plan a picnic and get there early. …You’ll be glad that you did.
