Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For – March 24, 2015

So many beers- So little time…The seasons are finally changing and the spring releases already in stores. And we’ve a number of exciting seasonals for you to check out.  We’ve also new releases from Firestone-Walker and Upslope that sound pretty awesome as well.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For – March 24, 2015Half Belgium New Acre (Ft Collins, CO) – New Belgium Brewing and Chicago’s Half Acre Beer have join forces to create a new collaborative offering that they’re releasing as part of their Hop Kitchen Series. Oatmeal IPA is a 6% ABV Ale with vibrant tropical flavors and an uber-creamy mouthfeel. But unfortunately it’s a “draft-only” release so you shut-ns will have to leave your basement, and interact with real people to try it.

The Pale Belgian Returns (Boulder, CO) – Upslope Brewing is celebrating spring with the return of a special limited release. Upslope Belgian Style Pale Ale is exactly that – a 7.5% ABV hybrid brewed with Trappist Ale yeast is balanced nicely by its fruity esters. And it’s out there now – so you know what to do.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For – March 24, 2015Jack’s Back Doing It Again (Paso Robles, CA) – When Firestone Walker launched Easy Jack last year – it became an immediate success – and that’s when they ran into problems. You see, Easy Jack was brewed using a rare menu of hops which they promptly ran out of by mid-summer. In hopes of salvaging this popular session IPA, Brewmaster Matt Brynildson took a 5000 mile journey and spent several days in the Hallertau region, the birthplace of hops dating back more than 1,000 years. There, he was finally able to secure an ample supply of Mandarina Bavaria and Hull Melon–two essential backbone hops needed to brew Easy Jack. So now Jack’s back doing it again…

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For – March 24, 2015Border Crossing (South Burlington, VT) – Magic Hat Brewing is finally releasing a beloved IPA of theirs that up until now has only been available in their home state of Vermont. Magic Hat Big Hundo IPA is a massively hopped 9% ABV monster that’s available now in 22oz bombers as well as on draft.

Warm Weather Belle (Kansas City, MO) – Boulevard Brewing Company has a new springtime offering that promises to be the belle of your next ball.  Boulevard’s Spring Belle is a warm weather Farmhouse-style Saison that’s brewed with rose, chamomile and elderflower.
