So many beers, So little time… New Belgium is returning a transatlantic collaboration of epic proportions. We’ll have more on that for you, plus we’ve some interesting new releases from Brewery Ommegang and Modern Times Beer that you’ll need to chase down.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForYou Never Forget The First Time (Saint Paul, MN) – On March 2nd,Summit Brewing will be releasing the 18th beer from their Unchained Series. Summit Hop Silo Double IPA brings 3 “firsts” for the brewery. It was the first Double IPA the brewery produced, it’s the first Unchained beer to be released in a can, and it’s the first time the brewery has used the 16 oz. can format.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForOmmegang Achieves Nirvana (Cooperstown, NY) – And speaking of “firsts,” in April, Brewery Ommegang will launchits “first-ever” American-style India Pale Ale across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Clocking in at 6.5% ABV, Ommegang’s Nirvana IPA is hopped with Bravo, Simcoe, Centennial, Topaz, and Mosaic, and dry-hopped with Centennial, Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo. Plus it’s the first Ommegang beer that will be produced at sister-brewery Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. 

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForCosmic (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer has a new 22 oz. release that they describe as “aggressively hoppy,” and that makes us “happy.” Modern Times Protocosmos is a 7% ABV IPA bursting with Galaxy, Ahtanum, and Centennial hops.  And it’s available now – so you know what to do.

Cherry Blossom Timed (Dover, DE) – It will soon be Cherry Blossom season in the Nation’s Capital and Dominion Brewing is returning something special to coincide with the Mid-Atlantic celebrations. Springtime pink and effervescent, Dominion Cherry Blossom Lager is conditioned on a bed of 300 pounds of Michigan cherries for 48 hours prior to packaging and it’s out there now in 6-packs and on draft.

New Belgium Ups the Kriek (Ft. Collins, CO) – New Belgium has another Lips of Faith Series release that sounds epic.Transatlantique Kriek is an 8% ABV Sour that’s crisp and effervescent. The 2015 edition was wood-aged in oaken vessels at the Oud Beersel Brewery deep in Belgium’s Senne Valley. Then it was blended with tart cherries and shipped across the pond to New Belgium Brewmaster Peter Bouckaert, who blended the Cherry Lambic with a full golden brew to round out this year’s Kriek.
