, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForModern Times Booming (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer is rolling out a new seasonal IPA and we hope one rolls our way. Modern Times Booming Rollers is a 6.8% ABV Citra hops showcase that they refer to as a “party in your mouth.”

Malt Monster (Fort Collins, CO)  Fort Collins Brewery has a new Malt Monster Series release and it’s coming out tomorrow, Friday the 20th, in 22 oz. bombers. FCB’s Giles, Golden Imperial Ale is a 10.2% ABV “monster” that pours deceptively light and delivers.

A Dry-Hopped Loser (Seattle, WA) – Elysian will be releasing a draft-only variation of one of their most popular IPAs somewhere around March 1st   so be ready. Elysian Dry-Hopped Loser is a hybrid version of their familiar strong-ish Pale Ale brewed with bracing Sorachi Ace hops and then dry-hopped with Citra and Amarillo.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForTwo Newbies From Hopworks (Portland, OR) – Oregon-based Hopworks Urban Brewery has just released two “newbies” and they both sound worthy of checking out. Their newest year-round, Nonstop Hef Hop low-alcohol, dry-hopped American-Style Wheat beer clocks in at just 3.9% ABV and has the feel of a NW Pale Ale in body and flavor. Their newest seasonal, Rise Up Red IRA, is a 6.1% ABV India Red Ale, mahogany in color and packed with organic kettle hops. The beer is then dry-hopped with Salmon-Safe Certified hops to punch up the aroma. This popular “Red” won a gold medal at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival and has remained a cult classic ever since.

Widmer Brothers Nears End (Portland, OR) – Widmer Brothers is nearing the end of their 30 Beers for 30 Years Series with the release of the next two beers. Beer #27 is Pitch Black IPA, a 6.5% ABV GABF Gold Medal winner that was first released in 2010. Beer #28, KGB Russian Imperial Stout, is a 9.5% ABV midnight black stout that was originally brewed in 2011.
