Terra Incognita is a 9.8% ABV assertively hopped, blended Brown Ale.This year’s blend is made up of: 55% wine barrel-aged ale, 32% bourbon barrel-aged ale, and 13% fresh ale.The beer’s name means “land unknown” and recalls the centuries-old California Trail that connects the two breweries–an overland wagon trail across the western half of the US from Missouri river towns to what is now the state of California. Terra Incognita will be rolling your way soon – so be ready.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForIt’s Back From Way Back! (Los Angeles, CA) – Pabst Brewing Company is re-launching one of the oldest and most iconic craft beers in the country. First brewed in 1878 by P. Ballantine & Sons Brewing Companyin Newark, NJ, Ballantine India Pale Ale was the only American-made beer that successfully continued the tradition of the 19th century IPAs. In order to replicate the original recipe as closely as possible, Pabst Master Brewer Gregory Deuhs reverse-engineered the beer, ensuring the robust heritage and quality of the 136-year-old brew was properly reflected in the 21st century version.The beer will be available beginning in September in major Northeast markets.

Gordon Biersch Goes To Helles (San Jose, CA) – In celebration of its long and illustrious history, Gordon Biersch Brewing Company has introduced its second 25th anniversary beer. Gordon Biersch Golden Export Lager is a new 4.9% ABV Helles-style lager brewed in the true European tradition and reflective of founder Dan Gordon’s studies at the Technical University of Munich at Weihenstephan.
