Sierra Nevada Hoptimum is a hurricane of whole-cone hop flavor – hopped, dry hopped, and torpedoed for incredible hop flavor and complexity. , Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For Hot Times in the Summer (Escondido, CA) – Just because something’s already awesome doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to make it even better – and that was the case with Stone Brewing’s latest limited summer release, Stone Smoked Porter w/Chipotle Peppers. Back in 2006, the brewery added a spicy twist to a classic, year-round brew by way of chipotle peppers. Since then, the beer has been a cult hit for many, including Stone’s pepper-loving CEO and Co-founder, Greg Koch. Beginning today, the beer returns in 22 oz. bottles and on draft in select markets nationwide.

Anniversary Happy (Portland, OR) – Widmer Brothers Brewing announced the next three beer releases in its 30 Beers For 30 Years Series: Festbier, Mäerzen, and Bockbier. These are the fourth, fifth, and sixth beers in the series, the brewery’s most elaborate and ambitious effort to date. The release of 1987 Festbier, 1988 Mäerzen, and 1989 Bockbier follows the first three beers in the series–Altbier, Weizenbier, and Hefeweizen–that were released in early April to coincide with the brewery’s anniversary date. Collectively, the first six releases showcase Widmer Brothers’ heritage and highlights the German influence that inspired their brewing style. All three beers will be available in the Portland area in extremely limited quantities – so you know what to do.
