So many beers- So little time… Exotics and warm weather seasonals define this week’s newbies and we’ve a number interesting new offerings that you’ll want to chase down…Plus we’ve some new releases from Heavy Seas and Lakewood that sound serious as well.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForHopochandria (Garland, TX) – A package from Lakewood Brewing is always cause for celebration here at the ACB compound. They’re one of our favorite breweries and we’d been hearing good things about a new addition to their year-round portfolio. With a hop menu showcasing five unique hop varieties, Lakewood Hopochandria is a 3.5% (!) session IPA that does “big flavor” and “low alcohol,” brilliantly. A new favorite.

Farmhouse Flowers (Asheville, NC) – Wicked Weed has a new Terra Locale Series release that sounds awesome. Wicked Weed Horti-Glory is a tart 6% Farmhouse Ale brewed with elderflowers, hyssop, honeysuckle, and fermented with the brewery’s house Brettanomyces.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForGetting Ripped (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer has returned a popular seasonal that’s big and moderately aggressive. Hopped like an IPA yet brewed with a malt body similar to a Belgian style Wit, Heavy Seas Riptide is a 7.25% lightly filtered White IPA. And it’s out there now- so you know what to do.

Cooling Down (Downingtown. PA) – With summer now upon us and temperatures nearing triple digits out our way, we’re dialing things back at the ACB compound and Victory has a beer that we’ve been hitting a lot lately. Victory’s Kühl Kölsch is 4.9% ABV pleaser that’s a nice take on a style that more and more brewers have been returning to lately.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForSummer Sour (Portland, OR) – Breakside Brewery is returning an award-winning Sour this summer and this one couldn’t be more on time. Breakside Passionfruit Sour Ale is brewed in the tradition of a classic German Berliner Weisse, with passionfruit added during the lagering process for a unique, tropical twist.
