, Newbies – New Craft Beer Releases That You Want to Look Out For – April 10, 2014Racing Bear (Healdsburg, CA) – Replacing the XP Pale Ale in their Racer Series, Bear Republic Brewing’s new Grand-Am American Pale Ale sounds like liquid freedom to us. Coming in at a moderate ABV of 6.5%, this West Coast style pale won the Gold Award at the 2013 California State Fair in the American Pale Ale category. Shipments began this week to Northern California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

No Ordinary Bitter (Chicago, IL) – Brewing up a movement in Chicago’s North-side Logan Square neighborhood for over 4 years, Revolution Brewing just yesterday tapped a real English style Session called Brixton Bitter. Considered a traditional rendition of an Ordinary Bitter, it features four varieties of lightly toasted malts, plus UK Progress and UK Golding hops to balance things out. At an ABV of only 3.2%, an IBU of 25 and served on nitro, you could drink this all day long. This brave bitter’s only available on tap.

(Long Beach, CA) – While we may be getting ahead of ourselves here, being thatBeachwood Brewing’s Citraholic IPA isn’t set to hit shelves until April 29th, it’s definitely worth the wait. Available in 22oz bottles throughout Southern California, Beachwood regards it as a “modern” west coast IPA. Sporting Citra hops blended with Warrior, Columbus and Simcoe, it features some big tropical fruit, melon and gooseberry flavors. And at 7.1% ABV, it’s sure to squeeze your lemon till… you know.

Three from Two Roads (Stratford, CT) – Soon to be released at its Nor-Yeaster event April 19th, Two Roads Brewinghas created three rare, brewery-only brews: Urban Funk Wild Ale – featuring a wild yeast captured during Superstorm Sandy, Krazy Plucker – a Berliner Weissbier, and Henry’s Farm Double Bock Lager Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels. Coming in at ABV’s of 5.6%, 3.6% and 7.8%, respectively, there’ll be wild flavors for every taste and preference. , Newbies – New Craft Beer Releases That You Want to Look Out For – April 10, 2014Avery Turns 21 (Boulder, CO) – Hoping to have a blowout birthday, Avery Brewing’scelebrating their 21st anniversary and their last at their Arapahoe Ave facility with their Twenty One Imperial India-Style Brown Ale. Clocking in at 8.53% ABV, Twenty One will be available in 22oz bottles come May. Avery’s new facility is projected to open January 2015, staying in the craft beer bastion of Boulder.
