So many beers- So little time… With winter waning, we’re beginning to see some “warm weather” offerings. …Plus we’ve some great new releases from Schlafly and Flying Dog that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.

, Newbies – 6 Spring Craft Beers You Need To Check OutCocktail Brewhouse Rarity (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog has a new Brewhouse Rarities release that’s their own unique take on a cocktail classic. Flying Dog’s Brewhouse Rarities Mint Julip is a 6% ABV “designer ale” that was brewed with mint leaves and honeysuckle.

Experimental XPA (Bend. OR) – Deschutes has recently released a new year-round as part of their Bond Street Series that was first brewed in their Portland pub. Deschutes Armory XPA is a 5.9% “experimental” Pale Ale with an ever-evolving hop menu. The inaugural 2016 version gets its bitter twist from Nugget, and Northern Brewer hops, then delivers a pronounced citrus kick from Cascade, Centennial and Citra. The next round will be brewed using experimental hop number 07270, and then who the hell knows?

Schlafly Double Bean Blonde Ale is a 6.3% ABV Blonde, brewed with cocoa nibs and infused with cold coffee. Eye-opening!

Getting Creamed (Durango, CO) – With the getting warmer we like our stouts a little lighter and more sessionable and Ska Brewing has a year-round that more than fits the bill. Ska Steel Toe Milk Stout is a 5.5% refresher, with a rich tan head and sweet creamy mouthfeel.

, Newbies – 6 Spring Craft Beers You Need To Check Out“As Gose Reuben’s Brews – So Gose The Nation” (Seattle, WA) – Reuben’s Brews is now canning one of their most beloved beers for year-round distribution. Reuben’s Brews Gose is their award-winning 4.3% German Sour Ale that’s brewed with lactobacillus, salt and coriander for a crisp and welcome finish.

Ground Control Barrel-Aged (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi is returning a legendary Imperial stout that was first brewed last year, with brewer’s yeast that’s seen space travel and this release has been aged in Old Forester Bourbon barrels. Brewed with Oregon hazelnuts, star anise and cocoa nibs – and fermented with an Ale yeast that survived a trip to space and back – Ninkasi Ground Control 2016 is deep, dark Barrel-aged 10% Imperial Stout that,  it’s fair to say, is out of this world.
