Taking its lead from Monty Python (you figure it out) and billed as “a medieval-style ale fit for modern beer geeks,” Stochasticity™ Project’s Your Father Smelt of Elderberries is a 10.3% Amber Ale that was brewed with Elderberries.

Reciprocity (Portland, ME) – Bissell Brothers recently introduced a new addition to their year-round portfolio that stands as a “thank you” to their fans that took a chance on them when they were just beginning. is an 7.3% India Pale Ale PA, that was brewed with newly popular Vic Secret, Ella, and Summer hops, all hailing from Australia. And you can get it on draft and in 16oz cans.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check OutAn Unseasonal Seasonal (Brevard, NC) – In a season beset with late-summer pumpkin ales, Oskar Blues is returning a classic not normally associated with this time of year, defying the season’s more obvious beer trends. Incredibly rich and dark as night Oscar Blues award-winning Ten FIDY is a massive 10.5% Imperial Stout and a welcome departure from all the pumpkin-flavored beers dominating retail right now.

Tweaking Classics (Ft Collins, CO) – Two of New Belgium’s original ales have been reimagined for a new era. In addition to Munich malt, New Belgium’s Trippel revised recipe incorporates Pilsener malt and one additional hop, Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Plus it’s ABV has been upped slightly to 8.5%. The brewery’s updated Abbey Belgian Style Dubbel now features eight different malts and is a true-to-style representation of the monastic beers of Belgium.
