To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone (St Paul, MN) – Summit Brewing has a new Unchained Series release rolling out this week – so be ready. Inspired by Star Trek and Jean Luc Picard’s famous phrase, Make It So is a 5.3% Extra Special Bitter (ESB) brewed with Earl Grey Tea and a sense of adventure.
Heavy Seas And Cal Ripken Celebrate With A Beer (Baltimore, MD) – Twenty years ago, Cal Ripken Jr. became baseball’s Iron Man and Heavy Seas started brewing in Baltimore. In celebration, they are releasing the limited-edition Fielder’s Choice, a 5% All-American Lager produced using heritage German brewing techniques and the finest ingredients. With each case, Heavy Seas will make a donation to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, helping at-risk youth in our communities.
Seasoned (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii) – Kona Brewing is giving back with a special August release that benefits the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches. The third small batch beer in the brewery’s Makana SeriesKai Golden Ale is 4% Golden Ale and the water used in brewing it was desalinated seawater salvaged from the ocean’s depths off the Big Island.
Shades Of Summer (Crozet, VA) – Starr Hill has just released a summertime favorite of ours. Starr Hill Whiter Shade of Pale White IPA is a 7.5% refresher that melds the best qualities of a Belgian Wit with the much-loved American IPA.
WOB Gets Choc Lobster (Tampa FL / Milton, DE) – World of Beer’s taverns will be tapping a Dogfish Head exclusive this Friday, August 7th and we’re psyched about what they’ve scored. Originally inspired by an oyster stout, Dogfish Head Choc Lobster is a 5.6 % Porter brewed every summer with dark cocoa and with lobsters shipped from the brewery’s friends at Ebone Cook Lobster Company in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
