Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need Now

So many beers- So little time… June has arrived and we’ve all the right beers for this season! Plus we’ve some interesting new “exotics” from Ommegang and Denali Brewing that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need NowGlacially Brewed (Talkeetna, AK) – ACB was recently invited up to Alaska, to cover the state’s emerging craft beer and distilling scene. And one of our favorite stops was the Denali Brewing a serious glacial water-fueled brewing operation in the shadow of the highest mountain peak in North America (20,310 feet above sea level). All their beers were serious but their India Pale Ale was spectacular. Maybe it’s the glacial waters, or their wild location, or maybe it’s the distinctive combination of British and Pacific Northwest hops – but whatever the reason, Denali’s 6.7% ABV Twister Creek IPA is worth a road trip north.

Into The Great Beyond (Cooperstown, NY) – Brewery Ommegang is rolling out their first DIPA ever and we’re pretty psyched about it. Brewed to transport the drinker to a more idyllic Upstate NY state-of-mind Ommegang Great Beyond is an 8.8% fruity and resinous Double IPA with a smooth silky mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need NowNot Caring A Whit (Longmont, CO / Brevard, NC / Austin, TX) – Oskar Blues is rolling out their own distinctive take on a Belgian classic. On draft for over a decade, but until now never released nationally,Priscilla White Wit Wheat is a 5.2% ABV, Oskar Blues’ Belgian White, Belgian Wit, Belgian Wheat – you choose.

A 3-Way Play IPA (Astoria, OR) – Fort George Brewery does an annual 3-Way collaboration IPA an this year they’ve enlisted Melvin Brewing and  Barley Brown’s Beer to help them. The 2016 3-Way IPA is an ensemble of Simcoe, Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops and a crescendo of tropical and citrus flavors. Scheduled for a mid-June release, look for this “three-way” in 16-ounce four-packs with a Run DMC inspired artwork, as well as on draft

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need NowThe Discreet Charm Of The Framboisie (Brooklyn, NY) – Brooklyn Brewery has interesting new Sour release, that’s name is parody Luis Buñuel 1972 Oscar-winning surrealist flick, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie. Brooklyn Brewery’s The Discreet Charm of the Framboisie is a reddish-orange 6.5% Sour Ale that was aged with fresh raspberries, in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels. Yessssssssssssssss!
