Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need Now

So many beers- So little time… Summer is here and we’ve all the right beers for the season! Plus we’ve some interesting new offerings from Hi-Wire and Great Divide that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.

It’s Always Sunny In Garland (Texas) – Lakewood Brewing’s latest addition to their Legendary Series was inspired more by television’s “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” than it was by Belgian and local mythologies. Lakewood Toll Troll is a 9.6%  ABV Double India Pale Ale that gets its name from the “The Nightman Cometh.” episode of FXX’s brilliant slapstick comedy – so check it out and get in on the joke.

Single Minded (Asheville, NC) – Hi-Wire Brewing just released the latest from their Single Barrel Series and we’re pretty excited about it. Batch #3 is a 4.7% ABV Oak Fermented Berliner Weisse with Brettanomyces and it’s available now in cork and caged 750ml bottles – so you know what to do.

A New York State Of Mind (Cooperstown, NY) – Ommegang is once again shining a spotlight on local hop farmers with a “New York State-only release, scheduled to roll out in early July. Brewed in tribute, and to raise awareness for local hop farmers breathing life back into the state’s hop industry, 2016’s Hopstate NY is a 5.6% ABV American Amber Ale brewed with rye, and healthy amount of hops exclusively sourced from Empire State farmers.

Tarte & Sassy (Easton, PA) – Weyerbacher has brewed up a beer that’s pretty much perfect for every situation. Kettle-soured with lactobacillus, Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau is a 3.9% ABV Session Sour with a dense white head and a surprisingly dry finish.

Kali High (Denver, CO) – Great Divide has a new Tank Series release that’s available now and is actually pink in color! Brewed with Hibiscus, Ginger and Lemon Great Divide Nadia Kali is 6.3% Hibiscus Saison that’s ripe for the picking.
