So many beers- So little time… Fall has arrived and with it the beers of the season – and we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll want to chase down….Plus we’ve some cool offerings from Ommegang and 21st Amendment that sounds pretty serious as well.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers That You Need To Check OutGetting All Medieval On You (Houston, TX) – Saint Arnold has a new Icon Series release and it’s based on a European style that fell out of favor almost 500 years ago. Saint Arnold Icon Red – American Roggenbier, is this award-winning brewery’s take on the classic Roggenbier. But unlike a traditional German Roggenbier which is dominated by the flavor and aroma of rye, Saint Arnold’s 5.8% ABV version tones down the rye and is hopped like an American pale ale, using Cascade and Chinook hops.

Lovely, Dark, and Deep (Cooperstown, NY) – Ommegang has a new winter offering that was Robert Frost’s famous poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” Upstate New York’s long winters. Ommegang’s Lovely, Dark, and Deep is a 5.3% Oatmeal Stout which subtly showcase flavors of rich chocolate milk, coffee and cream in a rich silky body.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers That You Need To Check OutMarooned (San Francisco, CA) – After a 3 year hiatus, 21st Amendment’s beloved Oyster Stout will be returning to the brewery’s year round line-up. Dreamt up some years back, while the brewery’s co-founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan were slurping oysters with Tomales Bay Oyster Company owners John Finger and Terry Sawyer, Marooned on Hog Island Oyster Stout is a deep dark and unbelievably rich stout that’s brewed with Magnum and Willamette hops and Hog Island Sweetwater oyster shells.

Labor Of Love (St Louis, MO) Schlafly Beer has just released the second in their vaunted Ibex Series. This beer’s name pays homage to the Hercules story and his quest to fulfill twelve arduous labors – the eleventh being one of the most grueling. The Eleventh Labor is a 4.2% Berliner Weisse brewed with apricots. Brewed in small quantity and aged for six months at The Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis, this almost mythic sour is available now in 750mL bottles and on-draft.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers That You Need To Check OutNightmare Fuel (Denver, CO) – River North Brewery has a new release that celebrates coffee and beer – two of our favorite things. Clocking in at an unforgiving 13.5% ABV, River North’s Nightmare Fuel is aggressively brewed using three pounds of freshly roasted Corvus coffee per barrel.
