Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check Out

So many beers- So little time… Thanksgiving’s almost here and with it comes the beers of the season. So we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll need to chase down…We’ve also a new collaboration from Kross Brewery and Evil Twin that sounds serious as well.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check OutCactus Fueled (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada has a new year-round…and this one’s a bit of a departure for them. Sierra Nevada Otra Vez is a sessionable 4.5% Gose-style ale brewed with California prickly pear cactus and grapefruit with a pinch of coriander thrown in for a bright and refreshing finish.

Dogfish Head Celebrates Their 20th Anniversary (Milton, DE) – And as part of that celebration, Dogfish Head will be releasing several limited edition beers this winter. Brewed in collaboration with legendary outdoor outfitter Woolrich, Dogfish Head Pennsylvania Tuxedo is a spruce-infused 8.5% American Pale Ale pale ale that pays homage to the flannel-suited hunters and gatherers who dwell deep in the backcountry of Pennsylvania. FYI: The spruces used in this “very cool” one-off are hand-picked from the forests in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check OutB-Side Yourself ( New York, NY) – The Bronx Brewery has a new draft-only B-Side Series release, and if you’re in the NYC, New Jersey, Connecticut and Westchester County area, this is something you need to chase down. Referencing an insider baseball term, where the pitcher is in a zone and throwing right along the black outline of home plate. On the Black Pale Ale is a complex yet highly drinkable 5.7% special release that’s malt-forward, with a surprisingly hoppy finish.

Winter Session (Portland, ME) – Peak Organic is releasing a winter ale that redefines the concept of what a “winter beer” can be. Peak OrganicWinter Session is a dry-hopped dark Wheat Ale that has the toasty, richness of a dark winter beer and the delicious hop characteristics of a session IPA. Nice…

, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need To Check OutKrossing Paths (Curacavi, Chile) – Kross Brewery has a brand new collaboration that they did with Evil Twin. The idea was to make a beer interpretation of a typical summer drink from Chile called Mote con Huesillos, a non-alcoholic drink that consists of a sweet clear nectar-like liquid made with dried peaches (huesillo), water and cinnamon, which is then mixed with fresh cooked wheat kernels (mote). Huesilløs Saison is their 6.5% ABV “take” on that classic summer refresher that was partially aged in Chardonnay Barrels from the Casablanca valley. Sounds awesome!
